Planning application forms

Use the guidance notes to help you decide which forms you need to print out.  Fill them in and return them to us by post or in person.  We have a legal duty to make available certain details relating to planning applications.  

When your application has been registered, the application form and other associated documents will be available for public inspection on the website.

PLEASE NOTE: From 6 April 2008 we can no longer accept applications on the current forms. All applications must be submitted using the new national standard application forms which are available below.

PLEASE NOTE: If the development exceeds any of the following then you will require planning permission and you should submit your application using the full planning consent application form listed above:

• The development is carried out on a separate piece of land less than 1 hectare in area forming part of the unit
• The ground area of any building, structure or works exceeds 465 square metres or is within 90 metres of any other building, structure or works erected in the last 2 years
• The building, structure or works exceeds 12 metres height, or 3 metres if within 3 kilometres of an aerodrome
• The development would be within 25 metres of a trunk or classified road
• The development involves the erection, extension or alteration of a dwelling.
