What kind of work is eligible?
Our
grants are used towards
the repair and restoration of the external shell of the building, including:
- Re-roofing
- Repairs to walls, chimneys and gutters
- Repairs to certain types of windows and doors.
Works not covered:
- Internal repairs
- General maintenance
- Dry and wet rot
- Woodworm treatment
- Short term emergency repairs
- Modernisation works such as damp proof courses.
Preference is given to repair rather than replacement, and applicants will need to show that existing materials or features are beyond practical re-use if applying for a replacement grant.
