A large, privately owned car park at the entrance to this famous and attractive valley charges £2.00 per car, with no concessions for blue badge holders. The limestone surface is fairly smooth.  Overspill car park to the left (opposite pay booth).

A toilet suitable for use by disabled people is available at the rear of the toilet block; this has a RADAR lock (a RADAR key is available from the car park attendant when on duty).

Those who are unable to negotiate the steps, narrow bridge and uneven path on the east bank of the river Dove can use the tarmac road on the west bank to reach the Stepping Stones, a distance of about 500m.
