Restrictions to Access
Abney Access Restrictions 2008
The landowner is exercising his right to restrict access under section 22 of the CRoW Act 2000 again in spring 2008.
This is to try to minimise disturbance to the ground-nesting birds during the most critical time.
Access will be restricted between 18 May and 20 June inclusive, with the exception of 26 May (Spring Bank Holiday) and 1, 7, 8, 14, and 15 June.
Notices with maps will be displayed at all access points.
This restriction applies to the Open Access Land of Abney Grange Moor, and Abney and Offerton Moor.
The restriction does not apply to Public Rights of Way.
