Places to visit

The Peak District has a wide number of land marks and places of interest which are worth visiting.  These range from historical houses used in television productions such as Lyme Park, to traditional English villages such as Castleton.

Of course one of the biggest draws to the Peak District is the outstanding natural scenery that the National Park offers, with visitors often heading to one of the Peak Districts three natural areas for recreational activities.  There areas consist of the Dark Peak, The White Peak and the South West Peak.  Scenery and attractions in these areas range from steep Fens, to moorland plateaus and reservoirs.

Those interested in learning more about the Peak District can visit one of the National Parks visitor centres.  These provide information regarding the park and its wildlife, as well as advice in regards to the pursuit of outdoor activities.
