Curbar Edge to Froggatt Edge Walk

Curbar Edge to Froggatt Edge Walk

A nice gentle walk from just before Curbar Edge all the way to Froggatt Edge. The walk starts from an easy to miss opening on the A621 and takes you all the way along the open moorland to Curbar Edge and then onto Froggatt Edge.

Curbar Edge is on the outskirts of a little village called Curbar which has the most expensive road in Derbyshire. Curbar Edge itself is well known for rock climbing where you can stop for a picnic while the kids (and adults) climb up and down the boulders.

The walk then takes you to Froggatt Edge in the Dark Peak. Forggatt Edge is only the top section with Curbar Edge making up the south. As well as Curbar, Forggatt Edge is well known and well used by rock climbers.

This walk is around 4 miles, climbing 130 meters and will take a good 2 hours. If you would like to walk along Curbar Edge and Froggatt Edge with a longer walk, try our guide for the Curbar Edge walk which is over double the distance.
