The Golden Valley Caravan and Camping Park is located in a secluded woodland just five minutes from the town of Ripley. The park is also close to a number of attractions that include the Midland Railway Museum which is just 5 minutes away. The park is also surrounded by beautiful Peak District countryside which includes rolling hills and meandering rivers.
The park has a number of facilities that include a reception area that has staff with a good knowledge of the local area, as well as a bar located on the first floor of the reception building. There are two separate toilet/shower blocks for men and women, with hot showers available to visitors free of charge. The women’s shower block at the bottom end of the site also has a bath. The site itself spans 26 acres and has a number of nature trails which cut through ancient woodland. Other facilities available on site include a fishing pond, a children’s play area as well as a gym and Jacuzzi.
Prices vary depending on the accommodation visitors intend to travel with them to the site. Caravans with hookups as well as motor homes begin at £22 per night in the low season to £27.50 per night in the high season which consists of the summer months. Super pitches are also available which include more space, electricity, and drainage, costing £25 per night in the low season and £27.50 per night in the high season. Pitches for tents are available and cost £15 per night in the low season and £20 per night in the high season. A minimum stay of three days also applies on bank holiday weekends.
