The Laneside Caravan Park is a holiday camp suitable for caravans, motor homes, and tents. The holiday park is located next to the village of Hope, which is in the Hope Valley, one of the Peak Districts most famous natural landmarks, that draws visitors from across the country.
The park has a range of facilities that include a modern shower block with central heating that has hot showers available free of charge. There are also individual changing areas with hair dryers and mirrors, as well as crockery with numerous sinks. The camping area of the site is located right next to the river, with each pitch backing either the river or a hedge or a fence to avoid the feeling of being cramped in. A range of goods is also available in the onsite shop including, eggs, milk, sweets, and drinks.
The park itself is very quiet and contains no onsite entertainment facilities such as pubs or nightclubs. Large groups are not allowed at the park and no noise is permitted after 10.30pm. Rules regarding noise are strictly enforced in order for all visitors to enjoy their stay, with unruly visitors being asked to leave. The location of the park in the Hope valley means that visitors will be surrounded by nature, with a number of hiking trails being found in the immediate area of the park. These include the Pennine way which is just four miles away at the top of the Hope Valley.
