3. The Portland Hotel Wetherspoon – Chesterfield – 9.1/10
Topping the list for value is the Portland Hotel Wetherspoon. All rooms have a TV, kettle, bath and shower, private bathroom and air conditioning. 4. Mercure Sheffield St Paul’s Hotel & Spa – Sheffield – 8.9/10
Coming in at number 4 is our top rated 4 star Peak District Spa hotel. It is a little further away from the Peak District in Sheffield town center, however, I thought it was important to represent those that want to spend a weekend being pampered. Rooms will set you back just under £150 – treatments are extra. For the room price, you do get access to the sauna, steam room, pool, and gym. 5. Hodgkinsons Hotel & Restaurant – Matlock – 9.5/10
This 3 star hotel is within a stunning Grade-II-listed building featuring a roof top garden, individually decorated rooms and even boasts of its own cave, because, well why not? Hodgkinsons hotel is situated next to the River Derwent less than 2 miles from Matlock, a former spa resort. 6. Peak Edge Hotel at the Red Lion – Chesterfield – 9.3/10
Park Edge Hotel is a gorgeous 16th century boutique pub and hotel on the edge of the Peak District in beautiful grounds. This 4 star hotel and restaurant has been awarded 2 AA rosettes and serves the most wonderful breakfast and a seasonal menu that changes daily. Many walking and cycling routes are less than a 10 minute drive away. This hotel is rated the best for value is Chesterfield and will cost you between £90 and £100 a night for 2. 7. H Boutique hotel – Bakewell – 9.5/10
Continuing with the boutique theme we have H Boutique hotel. The hotel is between two of the major landmarks in the Peak District. It is less than 2 miles from Haddon Hall and 3 miles to Chatsworth House. H Boutique hotel comes in between £170 and £200 a night. View more details or Book.

8. The White House Manor – Prestbury – 9.3/10
Last boutique hotel from me, the White House Manor is situated in the west of the Peak District in the wonderful Prestbury. All rooms come with all the mod cons you’d expect, White Company toiletries and free WIFI but the real reason you’ll return is the homemade shortbread. Rooms cost between £125 and £150 a night. 9. Fischers Baslow Hall – Baslow – 9.1/10
A 4 star hotel within beautifully landscaped gardens. The hotel has a 3 AA rosettes restaurant with a Michelin star to top it off. If you are looking for a top-notch dining experience in a gorgeous hotel, this is the place for you. Fischers Baslow Hall is a close enough to Chatsworth house to walk to (if you can walk 5km!). 10. ibis Sheffield Centre – Sheffield – 8.7/10
I’m ending the top 10 with a hotel that is ideal for those wanting to visit the Peak District on a budget, or for a walking party of 10 looking for somewhere to stay. The ibis is located in Sheffield city centre and has excellent transport links to all parts of the Peak District. It is a no thrills hotel but does have a 24-hour snack bar for any late night returns. Rooms start at £45 a night. View more details or Book.
